Fees Information for Self Pay Patients

In private medical practice there several different types of fees.

Consultation Fees: These are the fees are payable by the patient to the consultant to cover the costs of an outpatient consultation. Currently we charge £210 for a new patient appointment and £120 for a follow up appointment. You will receive an invoice for the cost of the consultation. For self pay patients we kindly request credit or debit card details prior to the consultation.  Please note a cancellation fee may be charged for non-attendance of an appointment without notice. Please note the fees charged for BUPA patients may be lower than those quoted here as I have entered a specific provider contract with this insurance company.

Hospital Fees: If you have any scans, tests or investigations performed you will receive a separate charge from the hospital to cover the cost. Please note that some consultants make additional charges for test interpretation. It is my practice NOT to make additional charges as I believe your outpatient consultation fee be inclusive of this and there should not be any hidden extra charges.
